We aren’t your average tutoring company. We set high standards for ourselves, our students, AND their parents. Working with DC tutoring requires an unusual level of commitment, but will achieve real, lasting results.

We have questionnaires for both student and parents about the student’s academic needs and issues. Once those are completed, we’ll schedule a family interview and discuss our approach and expectations, and decide if DC Tutoring is a good fit for your family. We look forward to meeting you!

General Academic Tutoring

High School Classes

$90 to $100 per hour

Hourly rate can vary depending on the needs of your student and the number of times per week your student attends.

Junior High School Classes

$80 to $90 per hour

Hourly rate can vary depending on the needs of your student and the number of times per week your student attends.

College or University Classes

$110 to $120 per hour

Lower level college courses such as Biology, General Chemistry, Anatomy & Physiology, College Algebra, Statistics.  Please contact us to ask if your class is available to be tutored.

High School with Learning Differences

$125 to $140 per hour

Students dealing with learning challenges such as Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, ADD/ADHD, or have been diagnosed with an  Anxiety Disorder or PTSD require much more expertise.  For every hour spent with a tutor, there is at least one hour that goes into preparing for the student.

Junior High School with Learning Differences

$110 to $125 per hour

Students dealing with learning challenges such as Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, ADD/ADHD, or have been diagnosed with an  Anxiety Disorder or PTSD require much more expertise.  For every hour spent with a tutor, there is at least one hour that goes into preparing for the student.

College Entrance Exam Prep

PSAT, SAT, ACT. This is for private tutoring and includes all study materials with the exception of one single hour of test prep. We do not offer group sessions.

Practice Exams

Current Exam Prep Students receive the $100 rate.  

Practice tests are designed to help you become familiar with the test structure, topics, and time limits. It gives you the chance to  discover weak areas and enable you to prepare efficiently.  It is also used for mental conditioning to prepare for the hours of testing required.


Your exam is scored, analyzed and recommendations are made to help you prepare and increase your scoring potential.
